By; Melinda I. Celebrity Personal Trainer + Nutrition Foods Co. President

As a light lunch teamed up with a salad for dinner, these personal pizzas are easy to make and use readily available ingredients. Blue cheese adds a unique flavor, and pita bread is the perfect crust with low carbs!

Look at this beauty!  These are made in under 4 minutes + are fully dairy free if you have allergies just use the Cheddar and Mozz Daiya cheese.

Calories per serving of Pita Pizza

170 calories of thin pita, whole-wheat, (1 pita, large (6-1/2″ dia) only 18 carbs per pita

45 calories of Mozzarella, Fat Free, (0.25 cup) [we use Daiya fake mozzarella cheese

20 calories of Pizza or Tomato Sauce, (0.25 cup)

Before I add the pizza sauce I like the spray the pita top with coconut cooking spray or olive oil spray then add your fav toppings from Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Fresh peppers, Jalapenos [most veggies won’t change cal-counts much but the pepperoni covered our pizzas and added another 150 calories and no carbs.  These pizzas allow us to remain in Ketosis on our keto plan and after trying every type of low carb flour suggested [coconut, almond, flax meal, fathead…OMG GROSS IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE LET DOWN so do not let other recipes fool you those flours are terrible for making flour for pizza, trust me I’m Italian.  These pizzas are just 11 mins in the ‘air cooker’ or on cookie sheet for 15 mins at 350 degrees.  So simple you will thank me for such an amazing invention 🙂

BE CAREFUL!  THESE PITA PIZZAS BURN VERY EASY!  Do not cook over 350 degrees and 11-15 minutes depending if its an ‘air fryer’ on Grill Mode or if it’s in the oven.
