A Day in the Life: 2-Day JUMPSTART Speedloss Cleanse Recap with Avery

With homecoming coming up, the pressure was on! The dress, hair, shoes, makeup, everything had to be perfect and that included my physique as well. Yes, I’d been working out, but it wasn’t enough for that final push to the two piece dress I was honestly biting my nails about wearing. Cleansing can intimidating, especially never had done one before, but I figured 2 days isn’t too long and with Speedloss. I could still drink my favorite protein shakes. So, I went for it!

Avery C. is our student intern who has always been passionate about all things health + fitness. She's currently studying journalism + what better way to let her meld her areas of interest than to send her home with a jumpstart cleanse + ask her to notate the play by play. We also asked her to BE REAL in her narration of her experience, because let's face it, we are talking about temporary caloric restriction here so there's going to be a few 'hangry' moments. But we wanted her to document how she fared moment my moment over the 2 days because IT'S ONLY 2 DAYS - YOU CAN DO IT!!

Overall, the journey had its challenges, but if one thing for sure, it paid off! Although, some guidance from those who cleansed before me would’ve been nice along the way, which is why I was kind enough to lay out each day, moment by moment, win by win, to hopefully motivate you as you’re going through the same.

day 1:

My day starts bright and early, 6:00am to be exact, so coffee isn’t something I decided to give up whether it’s 3 days or 10, but I did switch to plain black instead.

Honestly, that coffee pushed me through till 9:00am when my first taste of “substance” would be and, man, I’ve never been more happy to eat oats. There was actually a pretty good amount of oats and being the first day, I wasn’t thinking too much about food yet.

Come 11am, when I usually eat lunch, there were supplements instead which made me feel a little weird, popp’n pills for lunch. No, it was fine and actually made me feel a little heald over until I got home to make a shake around 1:00pm. For lunch, I was super excited about my shake, I drink them anyway outside of the cleanse and it’s basically drinking dessert that isn’t bad for you.  After my Shake 5 chocolate protein shake I felt ready to go for the rest of the day. Lack of energy source definitely hit me like a wall within the next two hours though, luckily the meal plan calls for energy chews right around that time which were a great sugar craving curve!

My last 4 hours of the meal plan were lagging hard, I was pretty much done with my day but I knew I had to get cardio and abs in despite my tried mentality.  I busted up in the workout room, onto the bike, and “cardioed” the crap outta myself… But then there’s abs.  Abs were fine, kinda a cool down actually, but still hard nonetheless.  Luckily, after my workout I could have the detox juice, which was surprisingly filling.  Of course 2 hours later I was feeling the pain of no food considering I usually have a snack while doing homework at night.  But, anything I could get my hands on I was doing to stay distracted, if anything this cleanse was going to make me productive.

day 2:

Upon waking up, I wanted food more than anything. I knew day 2 was going to be tough for this reason, but I also knew I could do it. So I gave myself a pep talk and stuck with it.

I was in the position of, once again, coffee saving the day and holding me till 9:00am. The time had finally come when I could have a protein shake, literally bless up, it was so good.  But, the shake didn’t hold me over as long as it did on day 1, so when it came time I was looking forward to the supplements knowing they made me not have a huge appetite.

When I got home for the day, the first thing I did was eat the oat bites then work out immediately. I figured if I just had substance it would make working out have less lag and it worked.  I’d recommend working out after your oat bites because they give you a good boost of energy. Right after my workout I got to have 2 servings of the juice, which was another good boost, plus I had more energy after getting my workout in. I did find myself longing for 7:00pm when I’d get my energy gummies, but the sedona juice really helped tie me over and it felt like a nice “reward” too.

At the end of the day I felt proud of myself for following the speedloss cleanse, and about 9pm a feeling of exhaustion hit me. But unfortunately sleep at that moment wasn’t an option given I have stuff I still had to get done before school the next day.  I made myself some hot tea with lemon and pushed through.

I’m not going to lie to you, day 2 is not the easiest, but trust me when I say if you make it through it’s going to pay off!

day 3:

FOOOOOOOD!

Rise and shine, I get fruit this morning! I ate about 5 strawberries and I’ve never been happier even though it kinda felt like cheating.  Day 3 didn’t have an hour by hour, play by play, of what to eat, so I tried to semi follow what I’d done for day 1&2. The fat burner supplements still acted as my lunch, but actual food and coffee heald me over until I got home for a salad.  I recommend if you don’t want to feel crazy off diet to go with lemon juice as a dressing, it’s pretty good and not as filling.

My afternoon workout was much easier because  I could have fruit before and detox juice after.  I think sticking to a cardio plan helped me through the 3 days as well; having something to distract made cleansing easier.  Needless to say by the last day I was ready for a real meal but later I would find I lost a pound a day and continued losing even after the 3 days.  This was definitely a pay off!

final thoughts:

I highly recommend doing this, whether you lose weight or not the de-bloating factor is unbelievable!-

I was homecoming ready with no problems and danced the night away with totally security of my body. But, you have to understand that straying from a plan will have consequences.  Not eating normally is hard, so making a game plan and prepping will help a ton!

Even the following week I was still seeing results with the days 4-10 meal plan, which is smart anyway because eating a feast after a cleanse is seriously going to mess you up (stomach wise).  Total I lost about 5 lbs from the 2 day jumpstart and probably would’ve lost more had it not been for my homecoming meal feast. Doing this program not only helped me lose those extra lbs fast, but it made me feel lighter, confident, and boosted my metabolism in a way I needed badly!

Would I do this again? ABSOLUTELY! Whether you need a confidence boost, a quick solution, or want to detoxify, this program is for you!
